December’s a busy time of year for many of us as we shop for the best gifts, cook up a storm and plan the party to end all parties. No one’s immune to the frenzy! With that said, we’d like to take a moment to sit down, breathe and share our sweet year with you. We have so much to be excited about!
Miel and Montelle, All in the Family
The year started on a high note when we joined the Montelle family. As one of Canada’s top lingerie designers and manufacturers, Montelle features everyday basics and “bras you love to live in,” which fits our philosophy to a T. Given their experience and expertise, it’s been so much easier for us to focus on what we do best: making modern seamless lingerie for today’s women on the go.
Our RACER Springs Into Action
Spring fever never fails to energize us! As the sun thawed the city and warmed our bones, we made pulses race by introducing the RACER, a seamless racerback bra built for performance and shaped for comfort. And what better time to showcase new lingerie then when we’re peeling off extra layers and getting fit for the hot weather!
Miel Goes Abroad
Over the summer, our sweetest things travelled across the pond to Urban Outfitters London, the very first time our lingerie was sold in the United Kingdom. UO is so cool and we love all their fashion and lifestyle accessories. Needless to say, landing in such a prestigious shop was very sweet!
Forget the Foliage: Get a Load of Our New Colors!
Fall’s always a busy time and this year was no exception as we launched our new website and amped up our Instagram presence @mielsisters. Our biggest thrill? Adding fun shades that brighten any lingerie drawer: Raspberry, a rich pinkish-red color ripe for the picking; Sand Tropez, a warm hue reminiscent of sun-kissed beaches, and Forest Night... in this shade, going green has never been sexier!
What’s in Store for the New Year
Yes, the past year has been kind to us, which didn't stop us from hitting a bit of a bump in the road in November when a fire devastated our office building. Luckily, no one was injured and the damage to our workspace was minimal, but it’s never easy to move a business, and we’re no exception. We’re now squatting at a friend’s and doing our best to make this transition seamless for all our customers.
Stay tuned… Miel will become so much sweeter in the New Year! Think fashion colors (Fawn, Blue Glass and Tea Rose) and funky styles, such as a cheeky boyshort and a bandeau bra that screams strapless is fun!
